Shaft Encoders :
A
rotary encoder, also called a
shaft encoder, is an electro-mechanical device that converts the angular position of a shaft or axle to an analog or digital code, making it an angle transducer.
Rotary encoders are often used to track the position of the motor shaft on permanent magnet brushless motors, which are commonly used on CNC machines, robots, and other industrial equipment.
Flange Adaptor Encoder :
Encoders with Flange Adaptors. They are used in power plant: heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, industrial plant: water treatment, plumbing, fire protection, and mining.
Hollow Shaft Encoder :
Hollow shaft encoders are designed with either a through-bored shaft or a blind-bored shaft, and intended to mount directly onto a motor or other shaft. This eliminates the need for a shaft to shaft coupling and mounting adapter, resulting in both space and cost savings. The encoder "floats" on the motor shaft.
